Camp Windermere « Result #7 on Aug 31, 2008, 6:30pm »
It all started out in 1979, when a rather well-off lady by the name of Kathryn Windermere bought the land surrounding Lake Windermere. She had been recently widowed, and was living with a young son.
Mrs. Windermere, or Lady Windermere, as the people of the nearby town of Swannville, Ontario called her, turned the land into a first-rate camp for children ages 13-17. Her son was seven when the camp opened its doors for the first time in 1980, and he too attended the camp before becoming a counselor.
Once Samuel Windermere turned 18, he lived at the camp, loving it the same way his mother did.
Sam Windermere was just another teen to Christiana Bellucci, albeit a very handsome one. Well, the two had a lot in common, and in time they developed a special relationship. She didn't care that he was the son of 'Lady' Windermere, and she fell in love.
At 23, the two were married, and took over the camp after Sam's mother became too frail to take full control. They managed the camp as Sam and Christiana Windermere, and expanded it to include the lake, built a few more cabins, and tidied up the lovely campground that had fallen into disarray in Lady Windermere's old age.
Sam and Christiana had three children, Lauren, Ben, and Sophie, and ran the camp during the summer.
Life was a fairytale for the two Windermeres, until one day changed everything, and left Christiana the single mother of three children with a job in the winter and running the camp in the summer. Sam had been hit head-on by another car coming home from work, and had died on the scene.
That summer, a few campers also changed Camp Windermere, forming some exclusive groups and cliques. The Windermeres were at the center of it all, with 15-year-old Sophie, and her former best friend, who are at either end of what looks like a war.
It started when Sophie noticed that her best friend, Callie, was flirting with her brother, Ben, and spending less and less time with her. Sophia felt used, and Callie denied it. The two exchanged insults, and the drama began.
The campers took sides, choosing either Callie or Sophie, and it just got worse. Ben was torn in the middle.
In the midst of it, girls began to move in, jockeying for position as Alyssa's or Sophie's new best friend. There was Bethany, who was intent on becoming Sophie's loyal sidekick, and then Madeline, who decided Callie was perfect for her.
It started off with just pranks and such, but it threatens to get nasty. How will Christiana handle it? Will Camp Windermere ever be the same?
Redbury is a normal town, other then the fact that it's in the middle of California. It's pretty 'small' with only a hundred or so houses, but those houses are mansions. In this horse crazy town, there is two barns. Iron Spring Stables, and Castle Brook Show Stables. Born as rivals, end as rivals. The town of Redbury has a history of these two barns being rivals. If they are friends, something happens and continues to have them be rivals. Lets just say it's a curse. Past down by generations and generations, ISS was passed into the hands of Andrew Madden, after being sold from the old owner. CBSS is owned by Andre Dignelli, who bought the barn from an older couple. Will the curse live on? or Will they become friends, and live on?
Sirens sounded off everywhere, hoofs where clattering around on te barn floor. CARTER! Vocals of her brother yelled frightfully, and a sound of feet ran through the smoky aisle's of Allegheny. Carter Macallister jumped down from the hayloft, and into the aisleway's. She ran to the second aisle, and all she could see was smoke... Carter bolted to the 5th stall in the aisle and flung the door open. Inside was a beautifully white horse... now black from the fire. Come on Echo! Carter grabbed the horses halter and bolted back down the aisle. She started feeling uneasy as she finally reached the exit, into the clean air. Carter looked back to her horse, the front of his legs were blood stained. He must have kicked the stall door so many times, that he got countless deep cuts. Carter looked around at all the stablehands with only a few horses... Carter... those are the only ones that made it... Mrs. Macallister wiped a tear from the corner of her eye. Carter dropped down to her knee's and cried. She couldn't help but cry, her whole life had been burned up. It's all gone... All of her horses, the lessons that went on everyday, everything. Nothing would be the same anymore... Would it?

Trucks, trucks, and more trucks. With brick, cobblestone, and many workers. Carter ran out of her colonial stlye home to see what was with all the corruption. They were redoing the barn!? After about a year, the Macallister's finally had enough money to redo the barn, the indoor arena, the outdoor arena, and the courtyard. This was a dream come true, her old life back! It was almost unbelievable. Carter did everything she could to help, bring all the horses to the far off pasture... anything that the workers needed help with. But in the end, Mrs. Macallister said it would be best for Carter to take Echo out on a trail, and get away from all the building. The workers worked from sunrise to well sunrise. They worked all day and all night for the first week. Then they worked from sunrise to sundown on the next week. Everything was finished by the 5th week. Carter and the rest of the Macallister couldn't be happier. All the regular lessons people started coming back, and Carter got to see her old friends again. Something she hadn't been able to do in a long time. The stables was pretty much picking up where it started off. All the lessons were back on scehdule, more people were coming to Everything was going smoothly, just as it had been before the accident.

The stable revamping got done in about 5 weeks, and then the stable was up and running. It seemed to pick up right from where it left off. Carter got so good at riding, and was so determined that she was the first sponsered rider. Carter went on to big shows, and met all the famous riders. At age 13 she was evaluated for the Junoir Olympics. She is supposed to ride in the Equastrian Games at age 15. The stables is runnng very well, but the memories from the fire still haunt the Macallister family. Figure out the mystery of the sudden fire, while still finding your own fate. Good luck.
